Dear Rio Vista Football Club Parents and Supporters:
Rio Vista Football Club (RVFC) will hold its 4th Annual “Golfing for Goals” Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 31st, 2008 at Arroyo Del Oso Golf Course. This is a huge venture and we need your help to make it successful!! In order to reach our goals, the Club is asking every team to participate and help with finding golf teams and sponsorship. Our goal is for each RVFC team to provide the following:
- 2-4 golfers (space is limited so get your golfers registered early);
- A minimum of one sponsorship from the team or acquaintances; and
- One volunteer to help with pre-tournament, tournament day, and/or post-tournament activities.
Through donations and fundraising events, RVFC has been able to provide scholarships to many soccer players that would perhaps otherwise not get to play. Additionally, the Club uses donations and the proceeds from our fundraisers to offset the costs of providing the highest quality soccer coaching in New Mexico. Your donations have and will continue to help provide our players with this high-quality level of coaching. The proceeds from the tournament also allows the Club to:
- Provide coaching education for all of our coaches;
- Offset increases in medical and dental coverage to our professional coaching staff; and
- Allow members of the RVFC community to interact with each other and the community through a fundraising activity.
Let’s make this year’s “Golfing for Goals” tournament a huge success. The fee (and other) information for both individual teams and sponsor packages is on the web site and is also indicated on the application, but please feel free to contact me at 892-5882 or fishing760@aol.com with any questions or comments. Your team managers will also be relaying information to you shortly. And remember, RVFC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization so donations are tax deductible.
